さて、ゴールデンウィーク前半の4月29日、
白川村では毎年恒例のゴミ拾いが行われました。
村民約1,500名が参加し、
大人から子どもまで、朝6時から1時間ほど作業したそうです。

観光客の多い白川村。
こうした地域の皆さんの力で、村の景色やきれいな環境が守られているのですね。

【Annual Village-Wide Cleanup】

Hello everyone!
How was your Golden Week holiday?
Perhaps some of you visited Shirakawa Village during the holidays ☺

On April 29th, during the first half of Golden Week,
Shirakawa Village held its annual community cleanup.

Around 1,500 villagers took part,
from adults to children, working together from 6 a.m. for about an hour.

Shirakawa Village welcomes many visitors throughout the year.
It’s thanks to the efforts of the local community that the village’s beautiful scenery and clean environment are so well preserved.
